We are proud to offer the evidence-based Too Good for Drugs and Too Good for Violence K-12 substance use and violence prevention education curricula developed by the C.E. Mendez Foundation.

The Too Good curricula is designed to develop self-efficacy and interpersonal skills through fun and interactive lessons that build the self confidence and commitment to health that children and adolescents need to make responsible choices and achieve success.

Too Good for Drugs and Too Good for Violence take a comprehensive and immersive approach to skills development to promote positive, pro-social attitudes and behaviors while fostering healthy relationships and resistance to substance abuse, conflict, and negative peer pressure and influence.

The Too Good’s curricula mitigate the risk factors related to substance use and aggressive behavior and promote resiliency through the development of these skills and traits at developmentally appropriate intervals:

TOO GOOD FOR DRUGS K-12

Skills development is at the core of the Too Good for Drugs curriculum, a universal K-12 prevention education program designed to mitigate the risk factors and enhance the protective factors related to the use of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs (ATOD). The lessons introduce and develop skills for making healthy choices, building positive friendships, developing self-efficacy, communicating effectively, and resisting peer pressure and influence.

Too Good for Drugs teaches five essential self-efficacy and interpersonal skills to build a perception of the harms of substance use and promote healthy development and academic success.

Too Good for Violence K-12

Character Education and Asset Development are at the core of Too Good for Violence to promote the skills, knowledge, and attitudes essential for positive social development and supportive relationships. The readiness and ability to socialize, connect, and cooperate with others is essential for positive peer bonding, healthy relationship building, and advocacy for one’s needs.

Each of the Too Good curricula has undergone rigorous, independent evaluation studies to measure their effects on students’ skills, attitudes, intentions, and behaviors. Studies have been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national evaluation conferences. These studies demonstrate the effectiveness of the program.
