“L.E.A.D. is excited to offer these FREE one-day, in-person trainings as part of the Advanced Certification Program. These classes will be presented at different locations throughout the year and are designed to provide our instructors with advanced skills in areas such as Drug Trends, Adolescent Learning Behavior, Drug Prevention, and Classroom Management. To achieve Advanced Certification, instructors only need to attend one class but may attend as many as they wish throughout the year.

Course Description: Special Agent Doug Collier draws on his wealth of experience with the CIA and DEA to bring the most current perspective on Drug Trends in the United States. Participants will learn names and descriptions of new drugs, their pricing, purity, availability, and risk factors associated with each substance.

Bio:
In April 1987, Douglas S. Collier began his federal career with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). In November 1990, he accepted an appointment as a special agent with the United States Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in Washington, D.C. As a Special Agent, Collier conducted voluminous investigations targeting international heroin and cocaine networks, money launderers, and organizations involved in trafficking steroids and other dangerous drugs. Special Agent Collier united with Monmouth University’s Department of Criminal Justice in 2018 and currently serves as the director of professional outreach and engagement and a professor in the graduate program.
