SPECIAL EDUCATION AND SECTION 504 : The Basic Legal Requirements, Instructional Strategies, & Other Considerations for the Classroom

This presentation will address legal requirements for the classroom and beyond when working
with special education students as a classroom teacher. Special focus will be given to the main
components of an IEP or 504 Plan, including, but not limited to: classifications, modifications,
and accommodations. Additionally, specific research based instructional strategies will be
shared that have been successful.
