School of the Month

Eugene Tighe School

The Margate City Police Department is determined to continue the battle against drugs, alcohol, and violence to ensure the children of Margate grow up in a safe drug-free community. The LEAD curriculum started Spring of 2016 and is instructed by Officer Erin Borrelli, Detective Chris Taroncher, Officer Jeanette Arcuri, and OfficerJessica Fane. The Too Good for Drugs curriculum was taught to grade 3, grade 5, and grade 8 in the City of Margate. This curriculum builds the framework for drug free living through a fun and interactive journey by setting reachable goals, communicating effectively and making responsible decisions. These LEAD instructors loved interacting with the students of William H Ross School and Eugene Tighe School in the classroom and out!

The Margate City Police Department and Margate LEAD instructors would like to congratulate the Eugene Tighe School, Class of 2016 of their graduation from the LEAD program. The 8th grade students of Tighe School were presented with certificates of completion and a pizza party. The LEAD program is off to a great start in the City of Margate!
